Allan Purvis sold the company in 1989, after some 15 years. A total of 683 Purvis Eurekas had been produced. There have been a number of owners since Allan Purvis and a number of non-Purvis Eureka sports cars have been produced, but spare parts and accessories have been the main lines of the on-going business.

Around February 2002 the factory in Dandenong Victoria was packed up and the contents moved to Sydney. The current owner of Eureka Sports Cars is gradually disposing of all the kit car components and is apparently working on a new space frame sports car.

Further news to date is that the business is up for sale.
